Daycare is going to be traumatic!
Well, I suppose I will have to start working again on Monday. It may just kill me since I have been off work for 4 months now. I am so grateful that I have had the chance to stay home with Carter for as long as I have. He will be at First Baptist, which I know is a wonderful daycare. He is going to love it, but I will probably cry all day, or maybe all week. I already told Thomas that he has to be the one to take him because I am not strong enough to walk away. Mama is going to pick him up early sometimes, so we will ease him (really me) into the idea of him being there. Thomas and I took some recent pictures of him. He has gotten so big. He rolls over all the time now and has started laughing. It is the sweetest sound I have ever heard.

Road trip!!
Carter made his first road trip to Columbia this weekend. Granny and Papa (that would be Thomas' mom and dad) had a blast having him there. They loved having all of us there, but Carter definitely had the lion's share of the attention this time. (And I'm sure it will stay that way from now on.) He got to go to church in Columbia and meet everyone. It was a lot of fun. Carter was so good on the road. I was a little nervous to see how he would handle a 5 hour car ride but he did wonderfully. He slept most of the way and just hung out. Granny and Papa live on 50 acres so Papa had a good time walking Carter out in the yard and to the lake. He said they talked about catching fish and blazing trails. :)
Carter's great grandmother, Nana, also made the road trip from Tallahassee. This was the first time she got to meet Carter so it was a special trip.
Carter's other great grandparents live in Columbia already, so we got everyone together and had a 4 generation photo shoot.
For some reason, my photos from Columbia are not uploading right, but I can't not put a picture of Carter on here, so here you go. I will try to figure out the problem and upload the family pictures later.
Finally , I got the pictures on here!
It is time!
Well, I decided that I had held out long enough. It was time to have my own blog. Hopefully, I will update it so you can check out what we have been up. Or mainly, what Carter has been up to. My friends get onto me for not sending new pictures of him, so maybe I can update everyone more reguarly now.
Carter is rolling over all the time now. Changing a diaper is like a rodeo. He thinks its fun to try to roll over when we put him on the changing table. (So, that's why the changing pad came with straps, huh?) He is such a good baby and is changing so much everyday. We go back to work in two weeks, and it may just kill me. I have already told Thomas that he has to take him to daycare because I am pretty sure I would not be able to leave him there.
