John Deere Green

Of course, Carter loved the John Deere tractor. He likes to push it
more than ride it, but I am sure we won't be able to keep up with him
either way!

Merry Christmas from the Fitts family!

The children don't share well yet!

Daisy is not so sure that she wants to share her toys with Carter yet.

Sleepy baby

Carter now has a habit of jumping himself to sleep. Yes, you read that
right. He falls asleep jumping. I saw him nodding off and managed to
get a video of it.
Believe it or not! He pulls up on the crib every morning and shakes
the rail until we go get him. :)

Daddy's hat is still one of his favorite toys!

My new overalls!

Gran D decided that every boy needed a pair of overalls, so here they
are! I love them. And his tennis shoes make him look so grown up.

Thomas learned very quickly to put his tie on AFTER he gets Carter
ready for church.

Check out my pirates! Aren't they cool?

Laughing at me

He has a great time laughing at me. I am sure he will laugh at me all
the way through adolescence too.

Cousins

He loves Ella Beth. He watches her all the time.

Jumping bean!

Carter loves to jump. And he jumps hard! He will stay in this thing
and jump so hard that he will breathe hard sometimes. We actually had
to put a pillow under him because he jumped so hard, he got a blister
on his toe. I am surprised the thing hasn't fallen apart yet.

Escapee!

If you haven't noticed, Carter takes his bath in an inflatable duck
tub. Last night, he tried to escape. Sorry about the poor photography,
but I thought it was hilarious. He managed to turn himself around and
was crawling out.

Bathtime!

Bathtime is an adventure now. Carter splahes like crazy and just
squeals. He loves it. He also chases his toys all around the tub until
he finally catches them and eats them. He can even chase two and holds
one in each hand, but when we throw a third in there, everything gets
crazy!

This one blurred a little but I thought it was cute. He was riding
daddy's foot!

Standing or sitting, we still try to eat them.

Standing up

Check us out...sometimes we like to stand up and play with out toys.

Duckies!

We got him some cute new sleepers since cold weather is coming. Julia
gave him this one with the ducks. I gave up trying to get him to look
at the camera. Thomas put the duck rattle
around his wrist and he was mesmerized by it. He finally snatched it
off and tried to eat it.

Sweet smile!

He is such a happy baby!

Trouble!

Daisy is in big trouble when Carter starts crawling! He loves her. He
has already managed to pull her ears a couple of times. He watches her
wherever she goes. When he can chase her, she's going to have to hide
under the bed. Poor thing.

Squealing!

Thomas started tickling Carter, but now instead of laughing, he has
started squealing. It is hilarious.

Cold weather!

Carter is not so sure that getting all bundled up is worth it. But I
think he looks so cute.

Our first cereal

Carter got the ok to start rice cereal and work our way up to some veggies and fruits. Rice cereal was a hit. Super messy, but he loved it.

Walking around...

Carter got a TotRider! You know, the little walkers that they can scoot around in. He likes to try to eat the toys on the front of it, but he does manage to push himself around in it. He can't get around obstacles, but if you put him in a straight line, he is fast!!

Nanni's Birthday Party

Last week we celebrated mama's birthday! It was a blast! Carter and Ella Beth got to help blow out the candles.

Lynndy, Carter, and Ella Beth. Ella Beth was showing off her Care Bear collection.

This was my favorite picture! Look at his sweet smile.

Jump!

We tried out the Johnny Jump-up and it's a hit! He loves it. He will sit in it and watch us in the kitchen for quite a while.

Sitting up!

We don't have the hang of sitting up yet, but Carter loves to prop on some pillows and play with his toys!

Sound sleeper

Carter has found an interesting new position when he sleeps. He pulls
his knees under him and puts his little bottom in the air. It's so
cute! He also manages to wiggle himself all the way around in the crib
so we never know what direction he will be facing when we get him up.

Our new toy!!

Carter's new favorite toys are his feet! He loves them! He entertains
himself for a while just trying to put them in his mouth. Lovely, huh?
But it's so cute!

Friends!

Last weekend, Carter traveled to New Albany to hang out with his friend, Andrew. Elliott (Diala's little one) joined them. It was a blast!

Independent Eater!

Well, kind of. He is working on holding his bottle. He still needs some help when he gets to the bottom of it. He hasn't quite learned how to tilt it up, but he likes to hold on to it.

New pictures

I am usually the one taking pictures, so I am never in them. So finally, I got one of us together.

My sweet baby!Is this not the most pitiful face you've ever seen? Bless his heart! He was so tired!

The Sweetest Sound!

I'm not sure who had more fun, Thomas or Carter!

Too cute!!

I couldn't resist this picture!! I love it!

Daycare is going to be traumatic!

Well, I suppose I will have to start working again on Monday. It may just kill me since I have been off work for 4 months now. I am so grateful that I have had the chance to stay home with Carter for as long as I have. He will be at First Baptist, which I know is a wonderful daycare. He is going to love it, but I will probably cry all day, or maybe all week. I already told Thomas that he has to be the one to take him because I am not strong enough to walk away. Mama is going to pick him up early sometimes, so we will ease him (really me) into the idea of him being there. Thomas and I took some recent pictures of him. He has gotten so big. He rolls over all the time now and has started laughing. It is the sweetest sound I have ever heard.
